Text

Copy Letter Rob. Crawford to Mr. Campbell

30 Nov. 1821

Dear Sir

I beg leave to acknowledge the receipt
of your Card of yesterday's date. _ Before
coming to any final arrangement as to the
office you and I had lately a conversation
about, I should like to consult
His Excellency Sir Thos. Brisbane; who
has been very much engaged since
his arrival in the Colony. - I
have gone twice to Paramatta for
the purpose of consulting with
him on the subject, but on
both of these occasions I unfortunately
missed him. I have however
written him, and
expect an answer either tomorrow, or

Monday next, until which time
I trust that you will suffer
no inconvenience from the delay

I am respectfully
Dear Sir
Your Mo. Ob. Servt.
Rob. Crawford
