Letter Allowing Student to Continue Classes

Author(s): King, David

Text

I am well acquainted with the circumstances
and character of George Smeaton. He is so
situated as to be quite dependent on the gen=erous
consideration of others : while his talents
diligence and good conduct are such as to
make him worthy in my opinion of
benevolent encouragement. If therefore
he be again permitted to attend the claſses
of the University free of charge I think the
Kindneſs of the [¿] will be most suitably
applied.
