Dear Sirs,

University of Glasgow
Goven Teinds

We were favoured with
your letter of 8th. last. with reference
to the arrears of teinds claimed by
you from our client Mr. Aitken.

We are at present arranging
for the collection of these arrears
with Mr. Archibald Ferguson, Writer
who has a claim for teinds overpaid
by him as agent for Russel's [sisters]
and we shall endeavour to have
the matter settled as soon as
possible.

Yours truly
[Thomas Reatson Macmehan]
