22 February, 1915.

Dear Sirs,

Hyndland, Govan Teinds.
I received your letter of 19th inst. and accompanying
Note of Arrears.
As my Assistant mentioned on his recent call, the Com
pany are prepared to settle the claim for arrears on the line
the discussed.
I observe from the Note, however, that the annual
sum charged varies from £12:11:9d to £12:13:0½. In the Valuation
of 1803 the Teinds of the arias lands, which include the
Five Shilling Land of Hyndland &c., are fixed at £12. Will you
be good enough, therefore, to explain the additional yearly charge.

Yours faithfully,
[¿]
