S1M-566# Elaine Smith (Coatbridge and Chryston) (Lab) : Employment of Children— That the Parliament deplores the employment of children in potentially dangerous conditions in our towns and cities; seeks to ensure that the Parliament and the Scottish Executive work in partnership with all relevant authorities and organisations (such as the Low Pay Unit and the Federation of Small Businesses) so that children who wish to work are protected from taking unsuitable employment and in order to ensure that steps are being taken to promote and enforce the laws which prohibit this practice.
