Time is a thing you've plenty of
Lasts ye a’ yer life
A precious thing for you to share
With your family or your wife.
Give some time to the old folks
The ones that stay alone
From you words wi’ you will cheer them up
Pick up the telephone.
Give some time to youngsters
They struggle in the world of today
The sound of laughter will be your reward
As ye listen to them play.
Give some time to your fellow man
Of any race or creed
Spare some time for the sick or poor
Or anyone in need.
If you give some time to everyone
Until your time ends
You'll find that in your lifetime
You'll have made a lot o’ friends.
