We speir at ye tae gie us a hert whilk is steive and leal.
Gie us a heft
sae leal
that we sall nevir be fruschit tae shaw
whas we are and wham we sair:
sae leal til ye
that we sall bide leal
albuist we hae tae staun alane:
sae leal til ye
that nae tempin, nae caain awa by the pooers o ill
sall fleg us nor tak us awa frae the straucht and richt gait.
Gin oor lealty be coft wi somethin, gar us tae be gleg tae shaw
hou muckle we loe ye;
Throwe Jesus Christ oor Lord,
Saebeit.
