WINCHESTER
Hou mervelfu in aa the yirth
Lord, our Lord, is yer name
Wha has yer glore outstreakit faur
Ayont yer starny hame
Whan I luik up intil the lift
Yer fingers biggt o nocht
Uptil the mune and til the starns
Whilk aa by ye were wrocht.
Says I, o whatna sort is man
Whas mindit sae by ye
O whatna sort's the son o man
Sae brawlie saint tae be.
Til him a place a bit mair laich
Than angels' place ye gied;
Wi honner and wi muckle glore
Ye crounit hae his heid.
