Text S1M-568 Shona Robison (North East Scotland) (SNP) : Heart Disease— That the Parliament expresses concern at the recently published report of the British Heart Foundation detailing the United Kingdom's poor record in cardiovascular disease; notes the fact that the United Kingdom has one of the highest death rates from coronary heart disease in the European Union; further notes that Tayside is near the bottom of the Scottish league table in waiting times for cardiac surgery and, in light of this, supports the demands for a fifth Scottish cardiac unit to be based at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee to serve the East of Scotland.
