Text S1M-1887# Rhoda Grant (Highlands and Islands) (Lab) : Closure of Jaeger Clothing Factory— That the Parliament notes with deep concern the announcement that the Jaeger clothing factory is to close with the loss of up to 160 jobs in Campbeltown; urges Jaeger to reconsider its decision urgently, and believes that the Scottish Executive, working with Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the local enterprise company and the Kintyre Initiative, should put in place long-term measures which will provide a stable and secure economic environment that ensures that the historic difficulties experienced by the Kintyre economy are reversed.
