I phoned your old number and got a very nice man who answered. I explained that I was trying to get you and he seemed to know about you but he couldn't give me your new number. I was very sorry to hear about Madge. Our circle is beginning to become very small now-a-days. It is great to have someone you can say "Do you remember?" However we have our good times to look back on. I am managing along not too badly. It gets a little easier to bear as time goes by. So far I keep fairly well for which I am thankful. I get to a pensioners Club and the Church Guild which takes me out among people and have good neighbours. Here we are at the end of another year. I have been here at Wedderlea 37 years this month. It's amazing isnt it? We had a lovely summer this year I hope next year will be as good. It is too bad that you have that awful painful arthritis. They dont appear to be able to do anything for it except painkillers. It is fine that you have good friends to lend a hand. I will close wishing you all the very best in the new year. Take great care of yourself - good people are scarce these days. Kindest thoughts from Alice This work is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
