Saturday 23d. There was a flying fish found on deck in the morning when the men were about to wash the deck. it was about the size of a small herring, & not so thick as a herring, but a broad back & head. The wings consist of a large fin which projects from behind the head & reaches near to the tail. Mr. Dudgeon stuffed it for himself.
