Text S1M-1888 Pauline McNeill (Glasgow Kelvin) (Lab) : Glasgow Rent Deposit Scheme— That the Parliament congratulates the Glasgow Rent Deposit Scheme on its work to enable homeless people to gain access to private, rented accommodation throughout the city of Glasgow; commends the organisation, which is funded by the Scottish Executive's Rough Sleepers' Initiative and by churches in the West End of Glasgow, on acting as as an independent third party to provide landlords with a bond guarantee on behalf of tenants, and recognises that the Glasgow Rent Deposit Scheme provides vital support to those who are not deemed to be in priority need to move into safe, secure accommodation in the private, rented sector.
