Dear Mrs. Sinclair,
I received a letter from Bill this afternoon with 2, 5 franc notes enclosed. He informs me to send one of them on to you, so here it is. I don't understand the roundabout way of your getting it but there will be method in their madness I suppose.
They seem to have moved nearer the coast and are waiting for something to happen. It is a rotten time for everybody at present worrying about their own boys. I hope Peter and Bill manage to stick together and come back soon.
I just wish I could see Bill before they move but it seems pretty hopeless.
The next time I meet you at a station, let's hope it is a homecoming and Armistice.
Yours sincerely
May Kirkland
