Comin in frae his work like,
Mince a taters,
A look at the papers,
Watchin TV,
Wi the weans an me.
That's jist whit A like.
Dae you see ma man,
When he's paintin the hoose, right,
Evrythin cleart,
The weans are dead feart,
Shoogly steps,
A'm taking bets
We'll end up in a fight.
Dae you see ma man,
Cum a odd Friday night, 'strue,
Been oot wi the boys,
Oh, whit a noise,
Wants a wee cheeper,
Pit his gas in a peeper.
Whar's the Barr's Irn Bru?
Dae you see ma man,
When we're gaun tae ma maws, fine,
Says he'll no swear
Or act like a bear,
No kick the dug,
Even gi'e her a hug.
Mind, we're home afore nine.
Dae you see ma man,
When he's gaun tae a meeting, well,
Collar an tie,
Oh me, oh my,
Needs a clean hanky,
His nails ur still manky
He can still look a swell.
Dae you see ma man,
When A'm trachled an weary, aye,
A wee cup a tea,
Cooterin me.
The dishes aw redd,
The weans pit tae bed,
He's no a bad guy.
Dae ye see me masel.
Och, a merrit him, well.
