MINUTES
13th Meeting, Session 1 (1999)

The meeting opened at 11.16am.
1. The Committee considered the response from the Scottish Executive to points raised by the Committee on the following draft affirmative instrument and agreed not to draw the attention of the Parliament to the instrument—
The Scotland Act 1998 (Transfer of Functions to the Scottish Ministers etc) (No 2) Order 1999
2. The Committee considered the following negative instruments and agreed to raise points with the Scottish Executive—
Act of Sederunt (Fees of Solicitors in the Sheriff Court) (Amendment) 1999, (SSI 1999/149)
Act of Sederunt (Fees of Sheriff Officers) 1999, (SSI 1999/150)
3. The Committee considered the following negative instruments and agreed that no points arose—
The Non-Domestic Rating Contributions (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1999, (SSI 1999/153)
The Local Statutory Provisions (Postponement from Repeal) (Scotland) Order 1999, (SSI 1999/156)
The Local Statutory Provisions (Exemption from Repeal) (Scotland) Order 1999, (SSI 1999/157)
4. The Committee considered the following instruments not subject to Parliamentary procedure and agreed to raise points with the Scottish Executive —
The Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning) (Orkney) (No. 3) (Scotland) Revocation Order 1999, (SSI 1999/159)
The Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning) (Orkney) (No. 2) (Scotland) Partial Revocation Order 1999, (SSI 1999/160)
5. The Committee agreed the terms of a reply to the letter from the Minister for Parliament dated 3rd November 1999.
The meeting closed at 11.34am.
